Automatic stator slot insulation former - is applicable to stators having more than one slot size and provides insertion procedure

The stators of certain types of smaller electric motor are designed with several slot sizes in order to accommodate special forms of winding. Such designs are thus not particularly suitable for automatic winding machines which also place the insulation in the slots. The automatic insulating machine has magazines (17) on a rotatable frame which collect cut and formed insulation troughs from processing points (12), each making a trough of a particular size and shape. As the frame rotates it finally brings a full magazine in position (18) over a stator core and the insulation is guided and pressed into the slots.
