The water mixing cell for a domestic water supply comprises a sealed guide bush with a sliding spindle for selectively closing the hot and cold water inlets to control the supply water temperature. Spindle adjustment has opposite effects on the two inlet flow rates. One O-ring (5) seals the outlet (23) from the housing, while a pair of sealing rings (6, 7) isolate the hot and cold water openings (21, 22) from the housing. These openings are also surrounded by O-rings (8), seated in recesses which extend in a curved cornered rectangle around the spindle exterior, and meet at the ends. The inner control bush (3) moves axially and rotates inside the outer guide bush (2).
