Wrought iron balustrade bar and rail connection - has holes for bar end plugs sealed by welded beading

The bar components (3) have dowel pins (14, 15) at their ends, inserted in blind holes (12, 13) drilled there. These are inserted in holes drilled in the handrail (1) or bottom chord (2), which are subsequently sealed by welded beading (20, 21). The dowel plugs are pref. conical. Protruding beading can be filed away. The connecting beading is virtually invisible, or easily made visible.
