The web W is then transferred on part 11a of the wire 11 to a press nip N, between rolls 21, 22 and to a second nip N 2 between roll 22 and a third roll. As shown the third roll is a smooth roll 23 from which the web is taken through third and preferably fourth nips to a multi-cylinder dryer, but in another embodiment (Fig. 1, not shown) the third roll may be a Yankee cylinder. Rolls 13, 14, 16b, 22, 25 may be suction rolls. The size and direction of the lip slice of the headbox 10 can be adjusted by means 70.
