Anaerobic and aerobic water treatment - by darkening flow path partly by covers and using water jets for motion

In an anaerobic or anaerobic/aerobic purifcn. system for water and sewage, the conventionally stagnant water is set in motion along partitions. Air-water jets are used to move, mix and aerate the water, as in the parent patent. Now for anaerobic purification, the flow path is darkened by opaque covers and the water is moved by water, low in oxygen; for simultaneous anaerobic and aerobic purification only a lower layer is darkened. All flow paths are fitted on the walls (and the lower layer under the cover) with adhesive surfaces for mats of biogenic matter. This provides an easy means for combining anaerobic with aerobic treatment.
