Flat item hoisting equipment - has rope reeved over pulley on beam mounted in building top floor

The equipment hoists flat items such as prefab. wall panels up the front of a multi-storey building. A supporting beam (1) is secured in a storey higher than that to which the items have to be delivered, carrying a pulley (2) for the hoist rope (7) which is reeved round it and down to a winch at ground level. At the free end of this rope is a spreader beam (10) with lifting tackle (11) for the items (P). Pulleys (12) on the ends of the spreader beam are guided by ropes (13), anchored roughly at the height of the hoist rope pulley (2), and running on both sides of the hoist rope to further winches mounted near the hoist winch.
