The fluid heating pipe (b) is taken into the room to be heated within the floor near a wall (c). It runs in a coil (a) round the room near the walls, spiralling towards the centre of the floor. The return connection (d) is taken from the end of the coil in the centre of the floor. Thermally conducting metal plates are inserted in the base of the walls at their junction with the floor. The closeness of the heating coils to the walls, and the good thermal contact between the walls and floor result in the wall temperature rising, so that the surface of the walls also acts as a heating surface for the room.
|
