The wire cores make contact with the clamp through pairs of parallel cutting jaws. The jaws are separate from each other and at different heights above the clamp base. A gap for the unclamped wire is provided between the jaws in each pair. Both arms (2) of the clamp (1) pass through a base (7), and form on the other side a blade (8) or spring contact. They may be brought together either above or inside the base.
