A pipe coupling is claimed including a pair of coengageable connectors and a latch mechanism for securing the connectors against disengagement, one of the connectors having a radial aperture in which is mounted a latch release element which projects into the bore of that connector for engagement by a tool adapted to be run into the connector to engage the release element and cam it outwards to disable the latch mechanism so that the connectors can be disengaged from each other. Used particularly for connecting a conductor riser from a conductor casing of a subsea well.
