The trim and protection strip for the vehicle has a rigid core (6) which is fastened to the vehicle by screws. The core is set in a vertical plane and is covered by a trim cover (7). If the sides of the vehicle are sloped then the gaps between the core and the walls are filled with an elastic insert strip (8). The vertical position of the core strip enables it to be taken around the corners of the sloping walled vehicle without any cutting or other modifications. The strip can be used for towing caravans or display trailers.
