The nozzle head for paint or lacquer spray gun is operated only by the hydraulic pressure from the paint itself, e.g. by electromagnetic piston pumps or hydraulic pumping units. It comprises a swirl nozzle (4) mounted in an internally cylindrical hollow nozzle holder (2) in such a way that the paint passes through supply openings into an outer annular chamber (4d), then inwardly into tangential slots. The tangential liquid columns impinge on each other becoming finely atomised into particles which tend to flow out in the form of a spinning spray cone, but which after impinging onto the inwardly tapered cone wall of the slot nozzle (1) can only flow out through the wide longitudinal slot (1b) in the form of a flat jet. All the supply channels (4a, 4b) in the swirl nozzle and the tangential baffle channels (4c) have dimensions which allow constant through-flow even in a case of very high viscosity paint and large solid or semi-pasty suspended particles.
|
