Aerobic fermentation tank - with loop reactor actuated by fluid and fluid-air nozzles in two tiers

Aerobic fermentation of a substrate by microorganisms is based on preparing a liq. gas mixt. in a loop reactor which is passed through the fermenter by the jet of the introduced liq. Circulation of the fermenter, contents is intensified by additional jets of gas-liq. and/or liq. pref. arranged above each other in the direction of flow. Reactor can be readily adjusted for fluctuating working conditions by dimensioning and distribution of the energy and volume input to nozzles at various heights in the reactor.
