<p>The Boiler for burning smoke-producing solid, liquid or gaseous fuels comprises a combustion chamber (1) through which the gases of combustion flow, with a burner (4, 10) at its inlet and a flue (3) at its outlet end. Downstream of the flame of the burner is a bed of fire-resistant chippings (12) with a glow zone, which fills out the internal cross-section of the combustion chamber and of which the glow zone is heated by the flame from the burner to at least reaction temp. of the smoke particles in the gases of combustion. At the bottom end of the vertical combustion chamber may be a grate (4) for solid combustible materials, above which are an opening (5) for supply of solid combustible materials and the opening of a fan burner (10) for liquid or gaseous fuel. The combustion chamber includes at a distance above these openings a screen-like fire-resistant partition (11) on which the bed of chippings lies.</p> |
