<p>Musical percussion instrument comprises channel-shaped sound members (2) which are mounted via supports (7, 8) at a distance from and without contact with a frame (1). The supports may comprise bands (8) which are mounted in support means (7) and on which the sound members are mounted in rows, or bands which are directly connected to the free ends of the sound members, pref. of elastic material. The sound members may be arranged adjacent to each other, in one or two vertical planes 19, 20), with those in the rear plane protruding above those in the front plane, or in a plane which is inclined from the horizontal in two rows one above the other. The sound members may be of arcuate or semicircular cross-section, and made of metal, with their curved surfaces forming the upper or front surface of the instrument.</p> |
