Office chair with adjustable back rest - has three point sprung elastic buffer bearing on support

The office chair has a moulded seat to which the back rest support is connected through a three-point bearing. Each bearing point is formed by a sprung elastic buffer, and two of the buffers (7,8) are positioned on a straight line parallel to the plane of the seat. The third buffer (9), forming the apex of the triangle of the three point bearing may be both adjusted and fixed along a straight line extending normal to a line running across the face of the seat. The adjustment and locking of the buffer is made by a bolt with a toggle screw moving within guide slots fitted in both the back rest support (3) and the moulded seat.
