1514006 Dyeing cellulosic materials AZIENDE COLORI NAZIONALI AFFINI ACNA SpA 15 Sept 1976 [19 Sept 1975] 38210/76 Heading D1B Fabrics containing swellable cellulosic material are dyed or printed in a swollen state in an aqueous dye bath containing a dye or mixture of dyes and at least one partially water-soluble solvent (soluble in water to the extent of at least 1% by weight) which is an alkoxyacetal of formaldehyde of formula in which R' is hydrogen or C, to C 10 alkyl, R" is hydrogen or methyl, R"' is C 1 to C 10 alkylene, m, n, o, p, q are whole numbers in the range 0 to 20, at least one of them not being 0. The cellulosic material may be cotton or rayon which may be blended with a synthetic organic fibre e.g. polyester. Conventional methods of application e.g. thermosol methods and continuous processes are specified. |
