<p>The machine impregnates the ribbon of any typewriter. The ribbon is wound onto a drum rotating in a stationary housing containing one or more impregnation rollers (3), over which it travels tangentially before reaching the region where it is struck by the characters. The housing is fixed in position in the typewriter, and when the drum rotates ink is yielded up to the ribbon by the rollers. These are mounted below opening in the housing, through which they are supplied with ink.</p> |
