PURPOSE:To prevent application of voltage, in charging direction, onto a primary battery by detecting the voltage to be applied, in the charging direction, onto the primary battery and stopping the operation of a power source equipment based on a detection signal of voltage application. CONSTITUTION:When a charge preventing diode is broken or erroneously fixed with reverse polarity, voltage detecting means 3, i.e., a thyristor 7, is turned ON while a transistor 23 constituting a stopping means 4 is turned OFF, whereby current is not fed to the primary coil 22 of a step-down transformer 21 and the voltage, in the charging direction, to a lithium battery 2 is turned OFF. Consequently, when a voltage is applied, in the charging direction, onto a primary battery, i.e., the lithium battery 2, the voltage detecting means 3 detects the voltage and operates the stopping means 4 for a power source equipment 1 to stop current supply, whereby fault such as leakage of liquid or rupture of battery due to application of charging voltage onto the primary battery can be prevented. |
