摘要 1467408 Polyphenylene oxide polymer blends MITSUBISHI GAS CHEMICAL CO Inc 17 April 1974 [18 April 1973] 16885/74 Addition to 1408766 Headings C3R C3P and C3G A thermoplastic blend composition having improved impact strength and fatigue resistance comprises (A) 15 to 80% by weight of a polyphenylene oxide having the formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> are methyl or ethyl groups, and n is at least 85, (B) 16 to 75% by weight of a rubber-modified polystyrene composed of structural units derived from a conjugated diene monomer and structural units derived from an aromatic vinyl monomer, the content of said structural units derived from the conjugated diene monomer being 2 to 15% by weight, (C) 2 to 15% by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate, and (D) 2 to 15% by weight of a high styrene rubber composed of structural units derived from a conjugated diene monomer and structural units derived from an aromatic vinyl monomer, the content of said structural units derived from the aromatic vinyl monomer being 35 to 65% by weight. In examples ingredients (A) are 2,6-dimethyl- and 2,6-diethyl-1,4- phenylene oxide polymers; ingredients (B) are polystyrene grafted on polybutadiene, a styrene/chlorostyrene graft copolymer containing polybutadiene and a styrene/α-methylstyrene/chlorostyrene graft copolymer containing polybutadiene; ingredient (C) is an aromatic polycarbonate and ingredients (D) are a mixture of a styrene/butadiene block copolymer with polystyrene and an isoprene/ styrene copolymer; other ingredients are triphenyl phosphate, titanium oxide and antimony oxide.
