<p>1467593 Removing flash TOYO SEIKAN KAISHA Ltd 22 Jan 1975 [10 July 1974] 2795/75 Heading B5A Apparatus for removing waste portions from hollow moulded articles, for use in a moulding line in which a continuous string of hollow articles is sent out from a rotary moulding machine, e.g. a blow-moulding machine, comprises a pair of conveyers which are provided with holders so that the articles may be held between the conveyers, means for removing the waste portion from one end of each of said articles by applying a twisting force to said waste portions while the articles are held by the holders, means for separating said waste portions from the other end of each of said articles, and means for driving said conveyers and said twisting and separating means synchronously with said rotary moulding machine. The removing and separating means may comprise a pair of rotating blades 28a, 29a, 31a, 32a, Fig. 4; alternatively there may be provided a sealing head and support 91, Fig. 10, to press and heatseal the mouth of the article and separate the adjacent waste portion.</p> |
