1467253 Rotary percussive drills KANGO ELECTRIC HAMMERS Ltd 29 March 1974 [5 April 1973] 16458/73 Heading B3C A percussive drill comprises a one-piece moulded casing 40 which carries a cylinder 18 mounting the tool bit holder and percussive drive mechanism, a crank-shaft 14, a driving shaft 31 for rotating the tool bit holder, provides a bearing support for the end of a motor shaft 11 nearest the crank-shaft and radially locates the stator enclosure of an electric drive motor 10. The electric motor drives crank-shaft 14 through gears 12, 13 and a clutch 15. The crank-shaft has a crank-pin 16 which through a link 17a drives a driver 17 having an air chamber 23 therein formed by a piston 20 and striker 21 reciprocated thereby. A tool bit is struck by an anvil 28 from the striker 21 and recoil is absorbed by a rubber or like ring 38. Rotary drive from bevel gears 32, 33 rotates shaft 31 and through gears 34, 35 the tool holder. A handle 48 is attachable to the main casing 40. |
