PURPOSE:To reduce a travel range of a recording head for loading/unloading the recording head by a method wherein an operation mechanism for loading/ unloading the recording head is disposed on the side of the travel direction of a carrier, and the recording head is loaded or unloaded by being horizontally rotated on the carrier and linearly moved. CONSTITUTION:A contact hook 603 for loading/unloading a recording head 9 by moving engagedly with a part of a contact lever 602 conducts the loading/ unloading action by a method in which a slot 603c formed thereon is guided to a guide shaft 601c formed on a carrier body 6. For example, when the recording head is to be loaded, the contact lever 602 is rotated counterclockwise, whereby the contact hook 603 rotates counterclockwise about the shaft 601c and moves leftward to be in horizontal states. At this time, the contact hook 603 moves while engaging with the a claw 906c. Thus the recording head 9 rotates clockwise about abutting parts 906a and 906b, and the position of the recording head 9 on a carrier 6 is determined. |
