1467448 Automated warehousing system EATON CORP 26 Feb 1974 [27 Feb 1973] 8746/74 Heading G3N An automated warehousing system is controlled by a computer so that, on entry of a bin address, a stacker crane retrieves a tote pan from either side of an aisle, places it at the left, right or centre at a picking station and returns it to the desired bin location. The bin address SD is four or six digit and is entered from a keyboard, card reader or computer via line multi-plexers E2, E3 to display registers E16-19 using light emitting diodes. If a wrong address is entered the display can be cleared. Priority encoder El receives data indicating picking and other data and controls read only memory E4 to produce appropriate outputs. The address is passed via the multi-plexers to registers E12-15 and to registers E20-23 to control the stacker crane. It is also stored in registers E8-15 for returning the pan to the bin. Up to three tote pans can be controlled and the circuitry shown is in integrated circuit configuration.
|
