PURPOSE: To form a continuous one-piece thread so as to promote its fit to a golf ball core by making a single thread having a nearly rectangular section through simultaneously extruding three separate continuously long strands with a circular section respectively, and uniting these strands along long edges thereof. CONSTITUTION: A thread 20 comprises individual elastic strands 22, 24, and 26, which are united by uniting parts 28 and 30 to each other. Each of the elastic strands 22, 24 and 26 is formed by extruding three round strands with 0.06cm in diameter set in a row. Individual strands 22, 24 and 26 are united to form a single thread 20 having a nearly rectangular section with about 0.18cm in width and about 0.06cm in height. This enables manufacture of elastic threads suitable for forming a spooling core of a golf ball. |
