<p>1467695 Cutting out presses J BOBST & FILS SA 9 Oct 1974 [12 Feb 1974] 43764/74 Headings B5F and B4B A platen press has a fixed cross-bar 23 and a movable beam 22 actuatable by crankshaft assemblies each supported on a supporting bearing 4 whose position is adjustable independently of the adjustment of the other bearings 4 or simultaneously with the other bearings. Each supporting bearing may be adjusted by co-operating wedges 17, 18 of which the upper wedges 17 are individually adjusted by a screw 27. The lower wedges 18 are mounted in pairs on a bar 34 adjusted by a nut 39, Fig. 3, on a threaded part 35 of the bar. The nut is geared to a gear 43 adjusted by a handwheel 44 and meshing with a similar nut 39 of a further bar supporting two lower wedges 18. Alternatively the supporting bearings 4 can each be adjusted by a screw (49), Fig. 5 (not shown). The independent adjustment is effected by nuts (53), (54) and the simultaneous adjustment by a nut (55) connected by worm gearing to similar nuts (55) of the other supporting bearings (4). The press may be equipped with cutting tools for sheets or webs of paperboard or corrugated board. The adjustment of the supporting bearings enables the parallelism of the platens to be adjusted and the impressional forces to be set.</p> |
