The retainer head is for a ski safety binding. It is fastened to the ski via a base plate, and has a support body, which may be pivoted about a pin, positioned on the top of the ski, and at right angles to its longitudinal direction. The support body carries two retainer arms with sole retainers, and the arms can pivot against a spring. The sole retainers (8) are connected to the retainer arms (6) via a slotted guide (11), the slots (14) of which extend at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the ski. The sole retainers are fastened to each other via a connection link. The slots are positioned in lugs (13), fastened to the free ends of the arms. The sole retainer are guided by a pin (15) in the slots.
