In a window or door unit, a wing consisting of profile sections (2) joined together by corner joints (3, 3') is connected to a frame similarly constructed from profile sections (1) and corner joints. The corner joints (3, 3'), which are inserted into and form a mating fit with the flush-cut profile sections (1, 2), have hinge leaves (3) or a hinge frame (33'), respectively, on the sections (32, 32') remaining outside the profile section. The adjacent hinge leaves or hinge frame, together with a hinge pin (4) which passes through them, form a hinge. |
