PURPOSE:To prevent the missing of data by reproducing a data whose transmission is unconfirmed at a reception side packet switchboard via a backup relay line. CONSTITUTION:The packet switchboard A1 recognizes a fault, connects backup relay lines b1, b2 via a public network N according to a predetermined procedure and sets a communication path of b1 N b2 between packet switchboard A1 and A2 newly. A data DT2 encountering the fault and a waiting data DT3 are transferred through the communication path of b1 N b2 set newly and transferred to an equipment t2 through a subscriber line S2. After a private relay line C is restored, connected backup relay lines b1, b2 are interrupted according to the predetermined procedure. The succeeding data is relayed again while being transferred through the private relay line C. Thus, the missing of data during relay due to the occurrence of a fault is prevented. |
