1516564 Ergometer KEIPER TRAININGSYSTEME GmbH & CO 7 Sept 1976 [11 Sept 1975] 37008/76 Heading G1N(E) An ergometer comprises an arithmetic computer 9, Fig. 1, (not shown), having a digital display device 8, Fig. 4, for determining and indicating various exercise parameters during the expenditure of physical energy by the user through turning the pedals 6. The computer includes a stored program 14 for the exercise parameters and an input-output unit 15 having a keyboard Fig. 3 (not shown), whereby personal data of the user, e.g. age, weight and sex may be fed into the computer to be taken into account in the determination of physiological values during an exercise program. A heart pulse receiver, adapted to be connected to the user, feeds values corresponding to the heart-pulse frequency into the computer. The ergometer 1 includes a housing 2 and on the upperside of the housing there is a seat 3 and a detachable hand grip 4 for the user. The foot pedal 6 drives a D.C. generator and an electronic load control is connected to the output terminals of the generator to form an adjustable load device. |
