The inductive electrode is for short-wave or ultra-shortwave therapy, using a continuous or pulsating field, and having an inductance and a capacitor forming an oscillatory circuit in a housing open at one side. The housing is metal or metal-clad to form an electrical screen, and its opening is covered by a shield. This comprises a series of conductors extending over the opening at intervals, and forming no closed loops. They are connected to the housing at one end. Where the electrode is supplied by a coaxial cable, the housing screen and opening shield can be connected to the external conductor of the cable.
|
