The prefabricated roller shutter casing is made up from shaped brick building blocks, abutting at the ends, forming an arched casing shape in cross-section with elongated slits for the reinforcing rods, and with covers sealing the casing ends. The slits for the reinforcement are fitted at the end faces of the arch arms (16) and on the inside face of the bricks forming the shutter case shape. The bricks are all formed in the shape of slotted blocks, being joined to each other solely by bonding media (4) inserted between their abutting faces and by the reinforcing rods bonded into the slits, which may be prestressed. The arch shape may be formed by two half-arch brick blocks joined together as a pair. This combines the damp-resistant and heat-expansion qualities of brickwork with the advantages of prefabrication and relative light-weight.
|
