<p>The printed paper webs (A, B, C, D) arranged on above the other emerge from the printing machine and are transported along by toothed, endless belt conveyors (12, 35) whose teeth engage in edge perforations in the webs. The webs are separated from one another so that they can be fed individually for further web-processing units e.g. cutting machines. The separation unit comprises a row of elongated guide rollers (30, 40) each arranged at 45 deg. to the incoming stack of webs. Each web in the stack passes around its own roller so that it becomes separated from its neighbours and is directed s 90 deg. to its original direction of motion. The individual webs are transported to their web-processing machine by toothed belt conveyors (35).</p> |
