The plastic transport box consists of four separate side walls and a bottom with reinforcing ribs on their outer surface. The edges of the side walls (1, 2) and the bottom (3) are joined together by hinge parts (9) of a curved section and a smaller material thickness than the walls and the bottom. The edges of the side walls (1) have a strap (11) and the side walls and the straps attached to the side walls have, in the region of their edges, preformed corner columns (4). The side walls (2) are fitted with attachment parts for the straps (11) on the side walls (1). The hinge parts (9) consists of a number of bending parts with strip rigid parts between.
