Telescopic crane tower section quick acting connection - has two holder bars on each inner section column

The quick-acting connection is for use between the telescoping sections of a tower crane foldable for road transit. Holding bars are secured to the corner columns of the inner section, engaging with supporting blocks unfolding into the path of their telescoping movement by their lower ends. The blocks are mounted in a commong plane at the top of the outer section and have recesses shaped to accommodate the bar ends. One the outside of each column of the inner section are spaced bars (7). The lower ends of the top bars and those of the lower ones are aligned to lock the inner section in the fully retracted and fully extended positions. At the top of the outer section are bridge pieces (3) in the same plane on two adjacent cross-member (1), carrying a supporting block (4) on a horizontal pivot (18).
