<p>A cathode ray tube has at least two elastic elements supporting the electrode system in the tube neck so as to absorb radial shocks. The supporting elements consists of U-shaped sheet metal sections whose middle part (9) is fastened to the electrode periphery, while their leg edges rest inside the neck (2). The legs are divided by a bend (6) in an inner and outer sections (5, 7) which form with a radial plane (11) an angle between 8 and 92 deg., preferably between 12 and 42 deg. These inner and outer portions are of about equal length. The horizontal portion (8) of a support has curved raised ends (10).</p> |
