Data transmission system with polling unit - uses three-area memory for controlling, combining and grouping data for receivers

The data transmission system allows the output of a data source to be distributed in arbitrary combinations amongst several data receivers. A polling circuit transmits the output data to all receivers ready to accept it. The polling circuit contains a combination switch having 3 digital memory areas. The first area (dominant) remains each (dominant) data block from the data source as control data. The second area (combination) retains data on which receivers are to be simultaneously fed the data block concerned. The third area (group) retains data on which receivers belong to the same group.
