<p>The trap consists of a trap-piece (1) inserted inside a collector-box (2) with a vertical, tilting wall (4) which can tip on pins (5', 6'). A balance (5) is eccentrically pivoted on the tilting wall (4), to give two parts to the balance (5). One part of the balance is thicker to serve as a counterweight for the other part. A stop-piece acts as a rest for one part of the balance-trap surface. At the top of the tilting wall (4) a locking lever (11) hinged at a point (12) on the trap-piece (1), and resting on a projection (13). A notch (14) in the locking lever (11) is for the top edge of the tilting wall. A push piece (16) joined to the trap surface (5) is positioned near the pivot-axle (6). Circular closure discs are situated at the sides of the tilting wall (4). One of the closure discs has a hole in for the animal to slip through. A counter-balance (19) is in the form of a screw.</p> |
