The application is to the mounting of an electrical accessory, e.g. a switch or socket outlet, it is fastened without the aid of screws into a plaster depth box fixed to the wall. The box (10) is firmly fixed to the wall and has at least two sides (13) made of a synthetic material, which is part elastic part plastic, which are flat on their internal surfaces. The component to be mounted (17) is provided with U-shaped springs (18) which have one end fastened to the component case. The free end has two outward projections which have a sharp edge such that when the component is fully hole any force tending to move it out again cause the projections to dig into the box wall and prevent movement.
