摘要 <p>The mechanical adjustment mechanism for belt drive speed incorporates a pair of rotating wheels with almost parallel axes. The belt encircles both wheels, one of which has a convex surface, and drives the other. The convex wheel has its greatest diameter in the centre, and the driven wheel has a conical surface (14). The belt speed is altered by adjusting the angle between the wheel axes. The bevelled wheel is titled on the bedplate, and the drive wheel is also moved by adjusting the angle of the motor (24) on its bedplate. An angle bar (30) is pressed by a spring (26) into a recess (29) on the motor bedplate. The belt moves axially relative to the bevel wheel to a different diameter section.</p>
