<p>Display board system esp. for use as flat surfaces carrying information, is comprised by a single, independently standing folding wall consisting of an assembly of seven large rectangular plats of light rigid material. Of these, three are as rigid support plates for the matter being exhibited, and these are joined down their long edges. Two pairs of other boards are joined so as to fold down their long edges, and they are stamped or cut so as to form a folding groove down the centre of each folding board whilst secondary folding grooves run at 45 degrees from the corners to the centre line. One of each of the paris of folding boards is glued to two of the support boards. The folding surfaces liited by the fold grooves are attached in such a way that the centre support board has a folding plate fixed on both its surfaces, whilst the outer plates each have only one plate. When the support boards are folded towards each other, the folding boards stretched between support boards move outwards along their centre lines whilst the triangular sections formed by the folding grooves move upwards/downwards and inwards. The system is simple and easily erected and dismantled by unskilled labour so that it can be easily transported and protected against damage during transport for use over and over again. The outer boards can be fitted with shelves and covered with glass or transparent plastic material.</p> |
