<p>The fixing clip for securing indicating instruments in panels, e.g. in dashboards is simply and easily installed without demanding access to the back of the board. The clip consists of a circular metal stamping formed from a spring metal plate. The inner diameter of the ring has three vertical lugs (2) spaced at 120 degrees. The outer end of each lug is bent inwards at an angle to the main axis (5). The ring and lugs have an inner wall of hard-drawn material (8). The ring lugs are first inserted into an aperture in the board (10, 11) so that the ring is flat against it. The instrument is then pushed through the ring until the instrument lip (12) is hard against the ring (1). The angled tips of the spring lugs then hold the instrument fast.</p> |
