A veneer section or sheet cutting machine is constructed with three rollers mounted on axles parallel to one another on a single major framework. The first and second rollers are so arranged that they may move relative to one another and also relative to the third roller. - Wooden sections from which veneers are to be cut can be held between the rollers and rotated relatively as required. A knife or cutter system is mounted in such a way that a veneer sheet is cut from the wooden section as it is rotated and passed through the roller set.
