Tubular hollow kerbstone for use at highway edges, is designed for economy in material and handling, and features inner walls parallel to and at least 50% of the length of outer walls, with the footway abutting wall significantly thinner than the other and the carriage way face incorporating resin based concrete. 10% synthetic resin content is utilised in this face and pref. the in situ exposed faces are striated etc, contain 1 to 2% colouring pigments (i e white, clear grey, yellow or orange) and can be fluorescent or contain reflective particles. The reflective particles clearly show where the edge of the kerbstone lies. |
