摘要 <p>The microwave cavity resonator has a ceramic element (4) with a negative temperature coefficient. It gives temperature stabilisation by compensating for the positive temperature coefficient of the cavity resonator itself. The ceramic element is located on the inside of the cavity and separate from the Gunn diode (forming part of the oscillator). The ceramic element is mounted on the end face of the cavity opposite the output coupler. The advantage of using a ceramic element or block to compensate for the effects of temperature, lies in its being cheaper than other methods and just as effective.</p>
