<p>The rolling bearing has the end of the inner race which faces the rotating gear wheel provided with a collar or flange which forms a running surface for the end face of the gear wheel. Thus, a separate wear disc located between the bearing and the gear wheel can be eliminated. It is only necessary to grind the two mating surfaces of the inner race and the gear wheel; some mfg. operations can be eliminated and the number of dimensional tolerances involved is reduced. The race (4) is fitted with a collar (5), and the ground end surface of the collar (5) forms a running face for the end surface of gear (6), so it is now unnecessary to use a wear-ring between the bearing (3) and gear (6).</p> |
