Safety support especially for tiltable driving cabs - cab has hooked catch to lock on to support bolt

The safety support consists of a tube or bar pivoted to the driving cab base (1) and terminating as a hook (3) which pivots by means of an elongated slot (5) formed in a locating member (5) on the vehicle chassis. The hook has an upper and lower inner radius which corresponds with a support belt (10) fixed to the chassis. When the cab is tilted the support pivots and moves with the cab until the hook engages with the support bolt. A pull spring (8) fitted between chassis and support bar maintains a tension between the support bolt and the safety bar.
