1494515 Reinforced concrete coated pipe BEKAERT SA NV 22 Aug 1975 [27 Sept 1974] 42142/74 Heading F2P [Also in Divisions B3 and D1] A pipe is coated by spraying concrete onto the rotating pipe while winding on to it a metal reinforcing strip consisting of a welded wire mesh having longitudinal and transverse wires, the former having been deformed to an extent which increases across the strip, thereby facilitating winding of the strip into the formation shown. In the embodiment described, the deformation is corrugation in planes perpendicular to that of the strip. The longitudinal wires may be more closely spaced towards what will become the inner edge of the strip, or the innermost wire may be of larger diameter than the others, or be of square section and the same dimensions. |
