1466674 Dialysate supply system DIALYSIS SYSTEMS Ltd 29 May 1974 [18 May 1973] 23741/73 Addition to 1368518 Heading B1X A dialysate supply system for an artificial kidney machine as claimed in any of Claims 4 to 7 of Specification 1368518 has switching means adapted when operated to change over the system from a dialysing cycle to a washing and/or sterilizing cycle, the switching means being operated or rendered operable by connecting the blood circuit of a dialyser to the connections of the supply system specified in the said Claims. In a preferred embodiment two microswitches are arranged to be operated when the blood inlet and outlet tubes are connected to the dialysate supply system; it is thus rendered impossible to supply dialysate to the blood chamber while it is still connected to a patient. |
