Pre-loaded multi-contact electrical connector has contact terminals therein which have tubular conductor receiving portions. The conductor receiving portion has an axially extending open seam which defines a slot for the reception of the conductor. Upon movement of the conductor laterally of its axis and into the slot, the edges of the slot engage, and establish electrical contact with, the conductor.
