The bolt is used in switching control panels with access to the bus-bars. The bolt locks together two such bars (5, 6) possibly one horizontal and one vertical, and is trapped in one of them (5). Unscrewing the bolt releases one of the bars (6), the bolt itself being held in the remaining bar. The bolt has an orthodox head (11) ad a threaded shank (12) and includes as the trapping element an annular section (13), the diameter of which is between that of the head and shank. The perimeter of this annulus is ribbed vertically or at some slight angle and is intended to be force fitted into one of the bus-bars (5) so trapping the bolt.
